Pakistan and Uzbekistan Bus Services

 A proposal for a bus service between Pakistan and Uzbekistan came up

Pakistan Finance Minister Mr Ishaq Dar met with President of Uzbekistan Shaukat Mirzayev.

The Republic of Uzbekistan President Shaukat Mirzayev has emphasized the need to develop land road transport between Pakistan and Uzbekistan to connect Central and South Asia with the route of Afghanistan, Pakistan and Uzbekistan Bus Service starting soon, and to accelerate the construction of a railway line to Pakistan ports.

 The Pakistani delegation led by the President of Uzbekistan & Federal Minister of Finance Mr Ishaq Dar discussed the practical aspects of implementing projects in the fields, of trade investment and Cargo and Public transport  Services to further expand mutually beneficial cooperation.

The Finance Minister thanked the President of Uzbekistan Shaukat Mirzayev for the opportunity to meet him and conveyed his best wishes from Prime Minister Main Shehbaz Sharif.

Agreements

In the meeting, the implementation of important agreements regarding transit & preferential trade was reviewed. In the meeting it was agreed to include the importance, of promoting specific projects of cooperation in various sectors of the economy as part of the agenda of the inter governmental talks.

The Uzbekistan president Shaukat emphasized the need to develop highway traffic between Pakistan and  Uzbekistan, to connect Central and South Asia with Afghanistan, & to accelerate the construction of a railway line to Pakistan Sea ports.

The Uzbek President Mr Shaukat Mirzayev proposed to start bus services between Pakistan and Uzbekistan more said that the connections between Central & South Asia will be developed by Service bus and railways.  While access to Pakistani  Sea ports will also-be gained through Afghanistan.
