Gold heist at Toronto International airport: $15 million in valuables disappeared
The Canadian police say they are investigating a gold heist at international Toronto Pearson Airport. A site often used to ship gold mined in the province of Ontario.
Canadian authorities also said that more than 20 million Canadian dollars worth of gold and valuables were stolen on Monday 17 April.
Officials say the high value aircraft container arrived at the toronto airport in the evening & was moved to a cargo holding facility.

Canadian Police believe that the robbery took place at that place.
The theft may be 1 of the largest heists in Canadian history. With the Great Canadian Maple Syrup heist previously taking place in 2011 & 2012. At that time 3000 tons of syrup worth 18.7 million dollars were stolen from a storage in Quebec.
Peel Regional Canadian Police Inspector Stephen Dustein also said his team was investigating. All avenues and described Monday incident as the only incident of its kind.

He more said the size of the plane container was about 5 square feet. But did not say anything about the weight.
Officials have also refused to say which airline sent the cargo. Or where it came from & what its destination was.

The Toronto Sun reported Thursday that police believe organized crime groups were involved in the theft.
